India prefer Mig to Sukhoi to create fifth-generation fighter

India preferred Mig fifth-generation fighter prototype to the same project of Sukhoi design bureau.

India showed interest to the fifth-generation fighter project, developing in Russian Aircraft Corporation “MiG”, says ‘Vedomosti’ newspaper. India refused to finance ‘Sukhoi’ company project, which was taken as a leading one in Russia.

British airforces prepared airfield for fifth-generation fighters

Royal Air Forces of Great Britain choosed the airfiled for fifth-generation F-35 Joint Strike Fighters disposition. It’s being said on Great Britain Ministry of Defence press service site.

Fighters will stand on RAF Lossiemouth airbase. First F-35 will be supplied to RAF by 2010. They will replace Harrier fighters which are on service today.

Dubai 2005 airshow

In United Arab Emirates started regular airspace saloon - one of the largest in the world.

This 9th international aviaspace exhibition in Dubai takes place in the year of 50th anniversary of first Russian military supply to the Near East. It was bought by Egypt and contract value was 250 millions of dollars. And by today Russia stays the biggest player on the Near East weapons market, inspite of great increase of competition there.

F-35 will not fly against fighters

Pentagon is going to suspend Air Forces modification of fifth-generation F-35 Joint Strike Fighter development program.

This decision is being actively supported by deputy secretary of defense Gordon England. Pentagon is going to stop development one of the three F-35 modifications. “Most possibly devlopment of Air Forces version of fighter will be stopped”, - by the words of England said representative of Department of Defense.
