By the leading US aircraft building company opinion An-72 aircraft will be represented to the FCA (Future Cargo Aircraft) Pentagon program. US Air Forces need new modern military transport aircraft to replace “Hercules” which is getting old. Boeing specialists already have visited Ukraine and now have very active negotiations.
According to Flight International data FCA tender will be opened in the nearest months - now GI’s are working out the requirements for the future aircraft. Boeing vice president and general manager of Air Force Systems George Muellner said the company would make final decision only after all the requirements will be finalized. The world’s budget for fighters in the nearest 5 years will be 81,3 billions dollars

As Washington Profile reports, according to Forecast International prognosis all the countries will spend 81,3 billions dollars for the fighters acquisitions in the 2006-2010.
22,3% of total orders for 18,1 billions dollars (or 274 fighter planes) will get Boeing. A little bit less - 16 billions dollars - will earn Eurofighter consortium, it will supply 258 fighter jets (19,7 percents from total). The third place will be shared by Boeing/Lockheed Martin - 15 billions dollars and 18,5 percents of market accrodingly. Lockheed Martin by itself will get 9,6 billions dollars (11,8 percents of all orders and 263 jets). Su-24 crash in Amur region

On the 17th of January blackbox of the Su-24 frontline bomber was found. Su-24 has crashed on Monday, the 16th of January near the “Vozhaevka” airfield in the Amur region. As the head of the Air Force press-service colonel Alexandr Drobyshevskiy said to RIA Novosty, blackboxes are in good condition. Right now Moscow committee under command of deputy of the Air Force Commander-in-Chief Alexander Zelenin is working on the crash site.
Frontline bomber Su-24 crashed on Monday, at about 15:00 during its regular flight by far-east union of Russian Air Force and Air Defence. Pilots guided plane into a safe zone and ejected. By the Drobyshevskiy words, both pilots are in satisfactory condition and right now they are on their airforce regiment territory, under doctors supervision. Interview with Vladimir Michailov, Commander-in-Chief of Russian Air Forces

It was announced by army general Vladimir Michailov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Forces. He mentioned some problems with finance support too. By his words, design bureau is developing new civil aircraft at the same time, which is taking part of money.
“Still, in the 2007 the 5th-generation aircraft will fly, as we have planned. Modern Russian Air Force technological equipment allows us to solve current tasks. We are planning to implement new features for new and modified aircraft to make them more effective and get higher export potential”, - mr. Michailov brought into focus.
