Second program about “Russian Knights” aerobatic team from “Smotr” series. Nice overview of the “behind the curtain” life of the group. The whole video is taken with Knights native airbase Kubinka on the background. You will see some interaction with Strizhi’s Mig-29s as well - famous 9 planes “big diamond” formation.
Russian language.
If you like “Smotr” series - please, check this out, it’s important.

  5. I’m absolutely struck by the capabilities of both the aircraft designers, engineers, pilots and air crews who conceived, developed, produced, maintains and flies these remarkablly beautiful, highly functional and technologically without peer aircraft. Keep doing what you’re doing… excellence is demonstrated each time one of these craft take to the air…

  6. Nice planes these su27 are, but i see only formation flying and no aerobatics. Want to see some real 9 plane formation aerobatics, then take a look at the Red Arrows of the RAF, the French Air Force aerobatic team and the Suryakirans aerobatic team of the Indian Air Force. Here you can see some real complex aerial manouevering (thats what aerobatics is all about), though their planes dont look as fancy as these SU 27’s.
