As it usually goes with Sukhoi designations, it is video about Su-27KUB, also known as Su-33KUB aircraft. KUB is Korabelniy Uchebno-Boevoy - Naval Combat Trainer. From other side I would call it Su-34 Naval version - the same canards and same pilots “side-by-side” placement. Excellent video from “Sukhoi familiy” series - amazing carrier-style take-offs and landings.

On the 17th of July, 1998 by the carrier landing mistake of Pavel Podguzov it was discovered new aerobatic element - “gurza Podguzova” of “Podguzov viper”. Only pilot’s professionalism and highest Su-33 flight performance allowed this situation not to became a disaster.
