it’incredible this aircraft (su 47 n’ all his family )best that any aircraf in the word , the f22 it’s just a toy too spance, needs awacs n’ satellit, this transmition is send by fm or am radio to f 22 , and this is his simple secret of steal development , it’s easy to detect in anywhere place in the sky .

    Comment by fajr — October 26, 2006 #

  8. ugo where do you get the f-22 can be detected and acually needs awacs do you have an info that the american public doesnt also is the s-37 in production the f-22 is last time I checked 1 aircraft couldnt defeat about 100 we have nobody builds them that good. Just russian propoganda.

  9. The Su 47 will enter production as soon as Sukhoi receives orders for it. Stealth is a myth, the raptor may be hard to find but it can be found and if the Su 47 got a radar lock or within dogfighting range, the raptor would go down without standing a chance. Any missile the F 22 fires will be easily dodged / out manourved by the Su 47.

I agree to some extent, but that would also depend on the pilot as well…whether he can make the Su-47 to release her full potential of supermaneuverablility.

Anyway,I like how the Su-47 flies,I like when she flies, the “smoke” kind of thing always appear on the edge of the wing on both sides. And I like how it flies down from the top and slows down at the same time and the canards keep moving…seems like to balance the aircraft of her speed..

  11. su47 just prototype, the final version of flight will be rather differ.. more over it wiil be also stealth (not like f22 but…). if f22 has good radar system peharps it help, but kill plain like su47 or su 37 with 1 or 2 rockets… not so easy)

  12. Sorry bub, won’t happen; RUS pil,ots do not do anywhere near the training they need to keep up with US pilots; I can put two different guys in two different aircraft, one a seasoned, trained pilot with gobs of stick time in an F-18, and the other a “Nugget” with one year of experience (In US terms; equals about 10 years of average Russian pilot’s flight time) in the hottest fighter on the planet, and the experienced stick is going walk all over the nugget.

  13. su47 best of luck for ur future….

  14. The Su-47 is too ahead of its time…It needs about 4 computers just to keep it in the air with its reversed wing design. The design is much more manuverable in the air but im glad that it is still only a prototype. It is very unpredictable and unstable. The russians will never produce it because of the enormous costs just to operate and maintain it. I love the engineering that went into it and i hope that it will eventually be ready for production.
Right now, id stick with the Su-37

  15. lovely! i love that damn flying thing!!!
i will build the next generation.. hehehe..

  16. plus if it was put in production it is so expensive that when f-15s rolled over it Russia would be even shorter of funds

  17. My favorite fighter craft, both becouse of its good looking and technical specifications. However, to be honest, I am a little disappointed about its shows. This aircraft IS the MOST MANEUVRABLE fighter known to date.. I would like to see it doing everything a Mig-29 OVT or a Su-30MKI does;) :) :)

    Comment by Andraxxus — February 14, 2007 #

  18. well andraxxus, they didnt include its full capabilities because it is such an expensive aircraft. It would be a REAL bad day in the office if their prototype crashed durring a demonstration flight. Although i am also dissappointed that they didnt include anything that shows its high standing manueverability. The SU-47 and S-32 have great potential.

also remember the first forward swept wing aircraft of its kind was the US built X-29 :)

    Comment by Desolate — February 20, 2007 #

  19. Yes X-29 but it has a big problems because of swept
    wing.

  20. El mejor avion del mundo mejor que el su-30mk

The best plane ive ever seen i mean the american f-22 is no match for that keep that way Russia & Sukhoi

    Comment by Luis — April 15, 2007 #

  21. Forward swept design wan not firs used by US x-29. It was used for the first time by Germans in ww2.

  25. F22 is invasible for MIG-35 OLS and S-400 so Raptor is no longer interesting for Russia. If you want to see Raptor so buy Mig-35 OLS, if you want to fight against Raptor so buy MIG-29 OVT. And if you want to be King of the air wait of MIG 1.44.

  29. All american tech came(stolen) from Germany it was Hitler who pushed the envelope of his scientific tech of his time, if he woldnt mess with Russia we in US will be spraken german. People check your history and think hard on it.

  30. Reverse engineering is engaged in by every industrial nation, especially concerning military hardware. However, the U.S. and its allies have consisently underestimated the Russian technical ability. This was witnessed during the Korean conflict when the MIG was first introduced. Then came Sputnik which was a quantum leap which placed Russia way out front technologically. The introduction of the MIG 29, followed by the SU 27 marked the coming of an era that the U.S. would not be able to surpass. We, in the U.S. have a tendency to flap our wings as to our military superiority with little substance. However, I’ve seen nothing current in the fighter arena that has been comparable to either the MIG 29 or SU 27 and, certainly the SU 47 represents the most formidiable multi-role fighter in the world.

    Comment by Steve Chambers — October 18, 2007 #

  31. I think the most important is the pilot, not only the abilities of planes. Afganistan ’s taliban even could not use MIG21!!! just because their Koran spay-book refered nothing to air fighting. :-)

tWIZ - MOTHER RUSSA HAS SICK ASS PILOTS , NOT THE ONES ON AN AVERAVE MIG 29. THE ONES OERATING THE SU47 ARE WAY BEYOND PROS AND WAY BETTER THEN A NEW GENERATION US PILOTS. COLD WAR VETS WITH COUNTLESS HOURS PATROLS AND MISSIONS.

  36. The positioning of horizontal stabilisor and canards during the slow pass indicates this bird has a hell of a lot of relaxed stability (it’s very unstable) and this gives good agility. The
contrails at the wingtips is probably due to the foreward sweep, you dont get the flow seperation near the tips as much as you do in sweepback so a larger pressure difference occurs between the underside and upperside of the wing near to the tip(outboard) and hence stronger tip vortices.

The F-22 feeds info to the A.W.A.C.S., it has the radar cross section of a common house fly, it can fly and complete it’s mission in COMPLETE radio silence and What kind of plane needs a satelite?!

But yea, the Golden Bear kicks ass! “Berkut is Russian for Golden Bear”

Could easily out manouver the F-22 with it’s forward and aft canards, and forward swept wings! If it had thrust vectoring… Wow…

Su-27, 37, and 47.. Best planes EVER! all by Sukhoi too.
