50Mb, 10:00, 450×360

As you may see, one Su-27 in formation is missing. While there is no official information there is an opinion it’s tail 08 of Oleg Erofeev who had to return to base due to some technical issues. It could affect whole team usual order to change… with all the followings.
At the end of the video Su-27 went for big circle while Strizhi got the scene for aerobatic. Then it all has happened.

Su-27, tail 14, pilot Vitaly Melnik.

But still material is very interesting, main version for now - because of the clouds Melnik didn’t see the Tkachenko plane and hit it.

Melnik was controlling plane with engine on fire to avoid hitting the living houses, his Su-27 landed in the plain field, he ejected and landed on the tree.

UPDATE, 18 august 2009: Melnik has landed in the field and Kurilenko was taken down from the tree:

Both pilots are fine, Melnik has landed in the field, it was wind so he gets slight legs concussion. Kurilenko has strain. Right now both in Krasnogorsk hospital, feeling fine.

The film introduces some of the most commonly used bombers from both Axis and Allied countries. Little over an hour long, it offers good aerial footage and a few more interesting pieces here and there. The film has English commentary, despite some very minor mistakes it is good and gives some basic information about each plane .

The film also gives some showtime to the nuclear strikes at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, showing the beautiful B-29 Superfortress. It also focuses on less known theaters of war such as Greece, and shows rarely seen footage of the Martin Maryland Baltimore medium bomber. At the end, it gives a brief intro of the very interesting German heavy bomber, He-177 ‘Greif’.
