It seems that the Russian Air Force will really get an important number of Su-35BM:
"The state armament program for 2006-2015, adopted in 2006, envisages mass production of the Su-35BM for the Russian Air Force, and the Defense Ministry is expected to purchase 182 of these aircraft. In addition, technology developed within the Su-35 project will be used to upgrade the Su-27s to the Su-27CM2 [I guess they mean Su-27SM2] standard." (http://en.rian.ru/analysis/20080709/113624747.html) It seems logical. Mass production of PAK FA will start around 2013, but it will take some years until it is fully available. To have around 180 Su-35BM will be very useful for the Russian Air Force until then. Also, I am quite sure it surpasses any other 4+ generation fighter, like the Super Hornet, Rafale, Typhoon or Gripen.

Great photos, thanks! This painting scheme is much better than the 901.
By the way, where did you find these pictures? I couldn't find them in Sukhoi's web page.

Yes, now I found it. I hope soon there will be pictures also in Sukhoi's page (www.sukhoi.org), with hi-res air to air pictures, like there are already of 901.

So this is second tail of Su-35BM ? Now there are two of them - 901 and 902, or am I missing something?

Exactly, Pavel. The second Su-35BM first flew last week.

Now Sukhoi has put some very high-resolution pictures of the second Su-35BM. I think they are the same that have already appeared in Knaapo's web page, unfortunately there is no air to air picture so far, but at least they are in a much higher resolution (about 3500 x 2300 pixels):

It seems that Sukhoi has been testing the BM in fight refuelling. Great very hi-res pictures, once more in Sukhoi's web page.
http://www.sukhoi.org/gallery/?galle...gallery_id=136 It seems that the plane has collided sometimes with the refuelling probe, check out the radome.
