First and foremost, I'd like to pinpoint some things here.
- Ace Combat 5 (and any Ace Combat game, including the upcoming Ace Combat 6) is not going to be a flight simulator. As NAMCO has stated many times, it's an action shoot-em-up game, NOT a flight sim. Sure, you can call it too arcade-ish, but that's what makes Ace Combat 5 stands out. Besides, what makes anyone of us here think it's a flight simulator if it's available ONLY for the consoles?
- Ace Combat (in general) is unique because it has the element of story that some, if not all, flight simulators lack (this doesn't mean I'd ditch flight sims for this very reason).
- As an AC gamer, I don't really mind if people compare this game to other flight simulators, and I won't really mind if people don't like the game. I'd be very sad if some of us start bashing it without ever giving it a chance.
I feel like adding more points but I don't have much time to spend for now.
