What's the error you're getting by "not starting"? What did you do exactly? Be more spesific and I should be able to help. Or you can try Lomac forums, they're really helpful.

Oh i have posted in lomac forums and its been there for more than a week and no one has looked at it in "bugs and errors" forum or whatever. but the problem is i uninstalled the game and deleted the folders and uninstalled Loman and then re installed in and got it all updated to 1.12a and everything. started the game and it checked for the disk like it should and finished and proceded to start up the game and i heard the anoying music that comes on and saw the classic lock on mouse style but it was still on my desktop. it was also on the taskbar and it just sat there. dont worry about telling me to wait longer i waited for an hour and 10 min (accadentaly forgot about it LOL) and came back and nothing the song just kept repeating and repeating. no error message would come up or anything it just plain wouldnt start up. and i would Ctrl-alt-delete and it would say its not responding and then i would have to end task and crap. starting to piss me off a little because i cant fire off a couple tv guided Kh-29's at those lucious T-72 tanks.

Graywolf what are the trouble-shooting steps that you have tried?
Has the game worked fine before? Try the step below if you have not tried anything Perform a clean-boot and then launch the game Windows XP 1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK. 2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup. 3. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the following check boxes: • Process SYSTEM.INI File • Process WIN.INI File • Load Startup Items 4. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All. 5. Click OK, and then click Restart. Windows Me 1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK. The System Configuration Utility starts. 2. Click the General tab, and then click Selective startup. 3. Under Selective startup, click to clear the following check boxes: • Process Win.ini file • Load startup group items • Load environment variables 4. Click the Startup tab, click to select the *StateMgr check box, and then click OK. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes. 5. After the computer restarts, click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK. 6. Click the General tab, and then verify that the check boxes that you cleared are still cleared. If you see a selected, unavailable check box (it appears dimmed and has a check mark in it), the clean boot was not successful. If this occurs, you may need assistance from the manufacturer of the program that is listed next to the selected, unavailable check box. Windows 98 1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK. The System Configuration Utility starts. 2. Click the General tab, and then click Selective startup. 3. Under Selective startup, click to clear the following check boxes : • Process Config.sys file • Process Autoexec.bat file • Process Winstart.bat file (if it is available and not already cleared) • Load startup group items 4. Click the Win.ini tab, expand the [windows] folder, and then click to clear the load= and run= check boxes. 5. Click OK, and then restart the computer. You may experience a temporary loss of some services functionality when you follow these steps. Restoring the settings restores the functionality, but may result in the return of the original error message or behavior. Start the game that you want to play. After you quit the game, to restore the computer to use a normal startup, start the System Configuration Utility, click the General tab, click Normal Startup, click OK, and then restart the computer.

to buran-pilot,
if you like world war 2 air combat, the "il2 forgotten battles" is the best choice. if you want air combat in the pacific theater, there's "pacific fighters". if you have "il2fb" plus the "ace expansion pack", you can actually add "pacific fighters" to your installed "il2fb + aep". though gunners from bombers are like snipers :x , as osuorsa so eloquently put it. but apart from that, its a good flight sim. and no missiles, just plain old guns. i have to admit, shooting down your enemy at very close range with your guns and cannons blazing, there's no better way to see your enemy slowly being ripped to shreds than firing a missile and not even seeing your enemy.
