if you go on yahoo.com and go to pictures and type aurora plane, it shows you a concept a future plane made in area 51 and also look it up in the internet and the plane can go 7000 m/ph
in one of the sites it also said that it crossed russia in 2 minutes and noone knew it did |

Well is not the furst plane to exied mach 6 X-15(missiale/camicadze
) did and some missiles also do. But the question will be if program is realy about that dose anyone needs high and fast flying spy plane having in mind that there are so many spy satelits now. It is not very logical but posibal. |

The problem with a mach 6 spy plane is that it would be hard to get good photos at those speeds. Satalites are not the answer because they are unflexable and will only come over the same part of the earth every few hours.

This is really pathetic-pardon my French! Naiv stabs in the dark trying to find facts from a quite complex project... One would need about 50 generation life to assemble anything useable from such random solicited pickings. No cigar with Aurora (which is-by the way- not a bomber), not even close.
Try to talk maybe with Dusty Rhodes, if he is willing ...you may learn about the ashtray on that plane. So be serious! Not even a hint about modesty to admit guessing but it is crying freaking obvious that you guys are willing to teach what you do not even have a foggy idea about.

That project belongs to a category of UFO conspiracy theories.
And it's not a bomber, it's a recon aircraft. Descendant of SR-71. And we all know why SR-71 was dumped out. Because it was no longer needed. |

I'm pretty sure the story you are talking about is an old proposal that had some research and development but to the best of my knowledge it never came close to being produced. From what I understand it was just too expensive and it was a severe technical challenge. Another reason that I'm skeptical that there is one out there completed, is why have they rekindled the R&D for a space plane bomber. If we already had the technology, I would question why we are considering such research. Another reason to be skeptical of the claims is that most reconnaissance can be done by satellite as long as time is not an issue. ![]() ==== U.S. Developing Jets That Fly Five Times the Speed of Sound The U.S. Air Force is preparing to test a new vehicle that could make missiles—and someday, jets—travel ten times faster than those flown today, military officials say. The research vehicle, known as the X-51A, will be able reach hypersonic speeds when it is tested in 2009. I dont know a whole lot about hypersonic aircraft, but what i do know is that the aurora is a very high altitude plane. For this reason, the aircraft can travel thousands of miles in mere moments. Just like the space shuttle, when at the tip of earths atmospher, the shuttle travels an outstanding amount of miles because it has less air resistance against its airfoil and can move with easy over great distances as opposed to, say 20,000ft above ground level. To me, the aurora is just an atmosphere bound shuttle.
