Ok i think that the B-24J was probobly the best bomber and the most rarest. The Americans made more of those bombers than any other bombers around those days. They had very good armour and fast speeds. It's power was unbeleavible, but i dont think it could carry as many bombs as the Lancaster could. Speeking of the Lancaster who has a good appinion on how good you think it was then?

Dude you contradicted yourself. Why did you say that the B-24 was the rarest when production topped more than 18000. And plus, this is post war not during. I will agree with you though about the fact that the Liberator was a damn nice bomber.

Why is it nonsense?
I don't mean to argue with you, i don't know much about the Lancer, but it looks pretty much conventional to me...

b1 lancer, when i said non-sense, i meant 'no non-sense' bomber. Aka, pure function, 0 un-needed crap.

How can you think it is the rarest plane when it is apparently the most mass produced? As CFcops said, you completely contradicted yourself. As it was a very good plane, you can't really say without hard evidence and statistics that it was the best.
