kh-555 or kh-101

Hello;

Does anybody know what happen with kh-101 missile project. Will it ever go in series production?
Also I have question about kh-555, is it brand new missile which will be serial produced or just converted kh-55sm?

Also, does anybody know will these new missiles be installed on Russian nuclear submarines as a replacement for granat ( ss-n-21 sampson) cruise missiles which was created on kh-55sm basis.

About Kh-101 - project now has green light, people from Ministry of Defence are very up to the precise weapons.

Kh-555 is not brand new missile, just an upgraded Kh-55sm. No, it will not replace Granat on nuclear subs.

acording to this, brand new tu-160s will be produced in KAPO. Because I read that only six tu-160 left unfinished from soviet era.

Nedo, first of all in this article there is no info new Tu-160 will be produced on KAPO, I didn't found.

Second, as I already answered you here: tupolev 160. Yes, it was six Tu-160 left from Soviet era, they are on KAPO plant. Two of them already were modernized, four are on the way.
There is no information about brand new Tu-160 to be built.

Besides, as far as I know Mikhailov and other HQ people feel very good about strategic aviation status - the existing planes amount is enough for them, even what there is today doesn't fly enough time.

So I don't think any orders for the brand new planes will be signed.

will enable to step up the strength of these planes to 30.

So they say 30 and but there is just six unfinished tu-160s. Meybe they think on modernization of tu-95ms like US modernize B-52 to serve till 2030.

Sorry I boring You again but I promise "I would not post any other question anymore(for some long period of time)".
I just want to ask You something about Typhoon class submarines.
I watch Smotr episode about this submarines and (I live in Bosnia(Former Yugoslavia) and our language are simillar)) I don't understand part about severstal (TK-20) modernization.
So there is 3 typhoon class submarines left, But will all of them or just Dmitry Donskoi be modernize to carry new bulava missiles and stay in service for some period until new borei's come, or they will be scraped.

Also Because I first time visited your blog this year I would like to ask You, are You already made some episodes about delta IV, oscar II, or project 971 class submarines in past? before july 2006.

BTW, regarding Mikhailov, you always need to make a discount for the propaganda I don't have any confirmed information about number 30.

But yes, Tu-95MS will be upgraded as well, this is true. Armament selection will be wider, navigation systems will be upgraded. Besides, maybe capital repair.

Regarding Severstal - together with another one, Archangelsk they are freezed now, decision is not done. Probably because bulava testings not finished yet. So very possible, if tests will be ok, subs will be upgraded to carry bulava.

Regarding 949 and 667BDRM - programs are being planned. Program about project 971 already was created, but not by us - by the Voennoe Delo program, so I didn't upload it on my blog.
