hey, read the newer (if you haven't) Galland's book, it's said to be very interesting, and this book has enough time space to deal with those strategies and have the newer and more accurate craft numbers....

So, totally, 2/3 of Luftwaffe fighters were used on Western front. This issue has created the situation, when in February 1943 Soviet Air Forces has gained full air supriority on Eastern battlefield. Each Soviet front (I mean not western, but Ukranian, Stalingrad and others) got air army of 700-800 airplanes, which allowed every Soviet front to perform its own operations, undepended from other fronts. |
