Russian Strategic Airforces have launched cruise missiles during the HQ and command exercise at a northern testing ground. The band under command consisted of two Tu-160 Blackjack and two Tu-95MSD Bear bombers which flew over 10-hour missions with in-flight refuellings. Russia said that the exercise was successful and all cruise missiles have been said to hit their targets.
At the same time in the southern Russia at Guryanovo testing ground, six Tu-22M Backfire Cs carried out training bombing and cruise missile launching.
These exercises were initially announced by RIA Novosti.
