Dubai 2005 airshow

In United Arab Emirates started regular airspace saloon - one of the largest in the world.

This 9th international aviaspace exhibition in Dubai takes place in the year of 50th anniversary of first Russian military supply to the Near East. It was bought by Egypt and contract value was 250 millions of dollars. And by today Russia stays the biggest player on the Near East weapons market, inspite of great increase of competition there.

This year Dubai airshow set up a new record - more then 700 companies from 46 countries are taking part. Best acheivements of aerospace technologies may be found here. After the great opening UAE secretary of defence Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum visited Russian exposition one of the first. He knows the head of “Rosoboronexport” (Russian weapons exporting company) Sergey Chemisov for a very long time.

There are very big expectations from Mig-29 SMT frontline fighter. Some of the aerobatic operations, like “the bell”, when plane freezes in the air on it’s tail and after this falling down, can make only Russian pilots. But from the words of Russian honoured pilot Mihail Belyaev, competitors are not sleeping. “Everything been recorded on video, after this it’s been anylized, modelled and the they try to repeat it.” - he is saying.

In “Rosoboronexport” are very positive about future of Russian industrial-military system. Today already there closed export deals for around 12 billions of dollars. This guarantees to Russian military industry heavy load till at least 2008. “For sure, competition became to be much more tough, but we are moving too, we became more smarter, more pragmatic, more experienced, - noticed general director and general constructor of Russian Aircraft Corporation “MiG” Alexey Fedorov. - That’s why I’m sure we will not let this market go, more of it, we will try to make it larger”.

The brands that have very good reputation for a long time, like “Sukhoi”, “Rosoboronexport” decided to be represented on airshow in makets and videos. Live demonstration is very expansive thing. US can allow themself to bring to the airshow powerfull squadron of best aircraft.

One more unique guest of airshow is new airbus A-380. Before its flight visitors of show were asked to stand back.

Extremely big interest attracted Russian systems of pilot’s health control. Heart express-test takes only 30 seconds and special drugs allow pilot to improve vision and operating capability.
