india is certainly going to buy the new mig 35, as it is the best choice she has and also that indians trust russian fighter aircraft as it was proved that the su-mki performed better than the us aircraft.russia and india should look forward to build the 5th generation aircraft to reduce the superiority of f-35 in the air….

MiG-35 has super-cruise. It’s frame also coated with RAM, hence it’s RCS is 7 times lower than original MiG-29.

BTW, standard radar of F-22 has an estimated range of 125-150 miles in wide scan mode (though I wonder against what RCS it was counted)

The MiG-35 is one of the most advanced fighter jet in the world. The main features is that it has an active electroniocally scanned radar for the first time in any of the Russian fighter.

The Russian knows that the fighter is in competition to the Indian tender of 126 MRCA and the Russian kept its feature undisclosed to anybody and only demostrated the open technoloy.

The radar of the Su-30MKI Mk3 is of almost 350 kms and is a PASA radar, while the radar on MiG-35 is way ahead in terms of technology and range.

India aquiered the SU-30 MKI 10 years back and the Radar technology is even not known to anybody other than indians in the world. During all the air exercise they kept it closed to prevent its frequency from other countries.

Russian knows Indian Air Force will accept only those technology which is unique and in not known to anybody.

As far as technology is concerned MiG-35 must have some most advance features other then meanuvarability and avionics, it is deadly fighter jet.

pictures and airshows should not be the basis in determining the best considering the billions that would be spend in acquiring these jets. what you can see are just its airframes, aerodynamic designs, and armaments but there are really more to it than meet the eye. there are more systems inside than what is outside. Let’s take the American F-22 Raptor for example, it may not have the awesome looks of a Mig-35 but some of its features are,- skin is made up of 67% Titanium with electron beam welded sub-assemblies to withstand high Gs and supersonic speeds for extended periods plus coated with radar absorbent material at designed angles to reduce reflection of enemies’ radar waves. it also disguises its infrared engine emissions to make it harder to detect by heat seeking SAMs. Its engines are designed for extended suupersonic cruise without using afterburners with trust vectoring nozzles highly manueveralble at both subsonic and supersonic speeds, it has a high rate of climb at 65,000 feet and capable of Herbst, Pugachev’s cobra and Kulbit manuevers. It has radar warning receiver and passive receiver systems. the f-22’s gruman active electronically scanned array radar with long multiple target acquisitions at 250 miles away with low probability of interception of its own signals by enemy aircraft. its AN/APG77 radar can focus its emission to overload enemy sensors and radars, giving the aircraft an electronic attack capability. It’s aeronautics system’s integrated aviocics and improve sensors for superior situational awareness. It’s onboard computer called raytheon common integrated processor processes at 10.5 billion instructions/second and have a 300 megabytes of memory. can transmit 548 megabit/second and received Gigabit. Informations can be gatrhered from radar and onboard and offboard systems, filtered by the computer and processes for easy to digest ways on several user friendly cockpit displays enabling the pilot to remain on top of complicated situations. it is designed to carry maximum ordinace load in internal bays while remaining stealthy and maneuveralble. The f-22 is a 5th generation fighter and 4th generation stealth technology. it is an air dominance fighter but is equip for ground attack, electronic warfare and signal intelligence roles as well. it was designed against the soviet airforce and can be use as long range bomber operating at enemy airspace. at one of its test, it dropped a 1,000 lbs. JDAM at 50,000 feet and hit a moving target at 24 miles away. in an air to air engagement, because of its advance radar, extended supersonic cruise and stealth technology, it can hit a Mig-35 long before the Mig-35 can engage. its avionics and features truly will make it the most potent fighter jet in the world. but because it is sensitive and expensive at 200 million dollar a piece, the american gov’t barred sale to foreign government. the f-35 lightnning II has some of its features at cheaper price.

I would like to answer on the question of bogdanS.
The MIG-29s that have Bulgaria and Rumania, as an example, are old, with by now old aerotechnics.
And I wanted to ask bogdanS,are you bulgarian?
Are there other bulgarians?

The existing stealth technology is likely to become redundant as a measure of offence in near future, with the introduction of new detection techniques.

Well i think this mig 35 is almost a brand new a/c compared to the first mig29s, and the quality of the finish has clearly improved. From what I’ve seen on news Mig will also add in manufacturing license with the deal. Probably similar to the SU-30MKI deal, where India can assemble the engines.

Oh and the time India kicked the Israelis at war games,from what I heard was they were a bit handicapped with no AWACS, while Indians had the full privilege of an AWACS. But I’m not 100% sure what went down exactly except the sukhois kicked ass.

BogdanS the f-16 was well planned to be upgraded, eg block series. While the mig29 was designed in soviet times where computer technology didn’t go down to well and it was more about the numbers and different aviation doctrine. Plus after the collapse design bureaus such as Mikoyan struggled. The Russian Navy turned down the mig-29K for the Sukhoi, and i don’t think they were making any good.

The F-22 has the greatest ability to sneak up undetected to close range fighting to the opponents. Then - if the opponent happens to be a new Super Fulcrum or Super Flanker: the F-22 gets the shit kicked out of him before he can say: “chimichanga”!

Weel Mr. Ace I see you watch a lot of US hollywood movies, when US aircraft shoot down every Mig that apear so easily, perhapsm you din´t Know that a Couple yars ago your F-15, F-18 and F16 were defeated bye Indian SU-30 and mig-29(old version), in a military trainig operation, every body Knows about that, so if a old Mig-29 could defeat a F-15, can you imagine what can a brand new MIG.35 do?, you really subestimate those news russian warplanes,

Thanx! With advent of Mig-35, MG has finally emerged out of a long and undesired hibernation.

I do not see the SU as the real competitors of the MIG. I think that they both belong to different classes of military aircraft’s. However the feelings of mutual healthy competition shall naturally arise and should be ensured when dealing within the same market pool.

Mig-35 is not meant to compete with F-22 or Eurofighter or Rafale or Grippen. Rather Mig-35 is competing in advance with F-35.
