In fact. The MiG-21 was a great machine, far better than what western propaganda made her. During a combat in the Sinai desert, an Egiptian MiG prevented himself of crashing turning the nose up and using raw engine power to climb. Unfortunely he was shot down by an israely Mirage 5 shortly after.
I tend to like the 21, small, powerfull, carring 4 missilies under the wings... Its a agressive plane, an innate killer. Those who faced experienced pilots in one of these can easly say that.
Congrats M. Daud. Its always good to have the opinion of someone who really knows the bird!

I, as ex-Mig-21 pilot like this bird which was a record breaking of its time amongst its foreign rivals.

In USSR/Russian and Afghan airforces didn't call it a plane because of its very small wings but called it a rocket - and didn't call it a rocket because it has wings. Losing its engine requires pilot skill how to control as happened to me while my Mig-21 was hit by a stinger missile and I managed to land safely. (I'm not kidding).
