the interesting part is that on the tanker still “CCCP” (USSR) is written. But the testing on the refualable Mig (led to Mig-29M) begann after 1991 - so, did they only forgot to scrape off the writing?

Heh, if I was in charge of the money of the Russian AF, I wouldn’t even bother scraping off old USSR logos and what not. The AF is poor as it is, better spend money on some gas and let the pilots fly rather then spend money on spray paint… lol!

Mmmmmmm - i still love that bird! The Mig is a classic beauty and has nothing lost of its magic and fascination over the years. Ok, there are newer and in technical detail “more advanced” figthers around now, like the F-35 Raptor and the Eurofigter - but - the Mig´s design is an eternal one. Every time i see just the silhouette of the Mig it gives me the creeps. What a pitty, the German airforce had to “transfer” their inherited Migs (from former East-Germany) towards Poland :((. I´ve read the comments of the German pilots on the pages of former 1./JG 73″Steinhoff”
- the MiG-29 Staffel of the Bundeswehr. Now we will see “just” the Eurofigter in the air. Although it is a cool jet too, it has not the charisma of the Mig. But legends never die! Good work Artur - i hope to see further Mig-videos here, maybe even in higher quality - i have a fast internet connection here -T-DSL 6.000 MBit LOL.

the Raptor is called the F 22

Su 27 is the best jet fighter of all time. I dont care what people say about F 15 or F 18. If they are better how come they dont want to challenge the Su 27 when they were asked several times.

They did the test fight, su 27 vs F18 and F15 and they both lost to su 27

but have you seen new mig 29 OVT or other name for it is mig 35 now that is the best airfighter in the world.

SU 27 very good in demo maybe.But the F 18 or F 15 or F 16 are still the best fighters in world.they have combat experience against all famillies of MIG or SU. American or british worked first with thrust vectoring with what fitted with new Migs or SU famillies.Thougt new F 16 F 15 OR F 18 are ordered by many countries , US has never proposed thrust vectoring to their clients beacuse of only that thrust vectoring is not determined fact to win a dogfight, and that without ignoring that the US air force wih israel and british airforce are the best one in the world beacuse of their big experience

The U.S Air Force did exercises with the Indian Air Force pitting their F-15’s against Indias’ Su-30 fulcrums in disimilar air combat.The Fulcrums annihilated the F-15’s and this is how the F-22 raptor was rushed into service.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST AVIATION VID ON THIS SITE, I THINK BEST I SEEN ANYWHERE ON THE NET! EVEN WITH THIS VIDEO SIZE OF 384X288 THE QUALITY IS SURPRISINGLY GOOD WHEN PLAYED IN FULL SCREEN.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about, what counts is the real thing not these test that your are talking about. The us is the only country that has 3 mig 29 kills over iraq.

even if you forget you history it’s going to repeat.

I think there should be an open battle to decide which is the best fighter jet ever in the following order: 1. MIG series(27, 29, 35) Vs. US F-15, 16, 18 & Eurofighter.

That will decide that which is the wheat from the chaff.
But as an Indian I am still a great fan of Russian airpower & pay salute to their technologically advanced airmachines.
