  1. This is a Yak-9P. The very one that was refurbished at the Yak Bureau and now in the Moscow Museum. The P is all metal whereas the U still had plywood rear fuselage and wing skins and wing tips similar to a D. The Carb inlet on a U was behind the propeller and the wing root intakes for the Supercharger and oil coolers were different shape
